Alec Sternberg

Welcome to my corner of the internet – A collection of curiosities.

I’m Alec. I spend my time outdoors, in the ocean, and training jiu-jitsu. When I’m not doing that, I build things.

Here, I write what’s on my mind. Thoughts. Ideas. The odd things I’ve learned. And the things that stay with me.

You might find something that speaks to you. Or not.

Either way, I keep it here.

The Weight of Waves

The ocean is a world of extremes.

Beneath the waves, time moves differently. Saltwater corrodes quietly but relentlessly, a slow-burning fire that claims even the strongest metal.

Storms rage without warning, sending walls of water crashing with a force that bends steel.

And deep below the surface, pressure builds to a crushing weight that few things can endure.

Now, imagine trying to build something that hasn’t live in this place – not just for days or months, but for decades. It’s like designing a house in a hurricane zone, except the hurricane never stops.
